A solution for restricted drilling dephs

Sep. 08, 2011 – Geothermal Radial Drilling (GRD) combines the advantages of horizontally installed ground heat collectors and vertically installed borehole heat exchangers. To prove the applicability and combinability of various geothermal heating tube systems with GRD, four different types of borehole heat exchangers were installed from March until April 2010 nearby a village called Hope in Derbyshire (Great Britain).

After completion of the “Thermal Response Test” (TRT) the produced installation for heating the stately home was applied (21 kW heating load).
