First VDI heat pump symposium in Stuttgart

Apr. 15, 2010 – On 8-9 June 2010 the 1. VDI-Konferenz "Wärmepumpen - Umweltwärme effizient nutzen" (Heat pumps - Efficient use of ambient heat) will take place in Stuttgart, Germany. Experts from R&D and industry will discuss the following topics:

• Approval procedure and site assessment for thermal use of the underground
• Optimising the efficiency of ground heat exchangers
• Technical rules and standards for heat pumps
• Solutions for improving the Seasonal Performance Factor
• Gas heat pumps - technology status and references from the practice
• Large heat pumps for industrial application

The EHPA is represented at the symposium by its chairman Karl Ochsner and the Fraunhofer-Institute für Solare Energiesysteme ISE, a partner of the IEE project SEPEMO-Build, will also present a paper.
